Unit 4 – Signals from Inner Space
In this unit, students will learn about interoception, which is the ability to sense signals coming from inside the body. We explore how body signals like sweaty palms, a pounding heart, and clenched fists give us information about how we feel and what we need. Students will work within the metaphor of ‘Innernauts’ (astronauts inside the body!) to go on a mission exploring body signals and learning how internal cues can tell us how we feel.
