Understanding Your Child’s Fears
Most of us are afraid of something- whether it is spiders, the dark, or jumping off the high-dive. While some fears are healthy because they keep us safe, others only hold us back.
A great way to get over a fear is to talk about the fear and make a plan for skills to use when they are confronted with that fearful situation or thing. Use this tool to help your child identify their fear and discuss skills to help them feel calm. You will gain insight into your child’s thoughts, feelings, and help them to better understand their fears as something they can overcome and control.
